Productions in 1997, specialising in the organisation of shows and entertainment for corporate events. Based in Grenoble, the company largely works on seminars, incentives and gala evenings. 80% of our business takes place in the Rhône-Alpes region , explains Thierry Belais. There are three of us working for the company. However, for some of the shows we have to call on other colleagues for which we have a list of about 40 freelancers. Our signature shows involve magic performances for which I bring in a number of other professional performers and sometimes I get involved too. Recently, for the 50th birthday of Bochard chocolates, in Grenoble, we brought in a Paris review show plus an impersonator of Mylène Farmer, a disappearing trick and, for the second half, Hervé Villard. The event took place at the Agora hall in Saint-Ismier, which is a venue that we often suggest to our clients because it can be used as a 300-seat theatre as well as a venue for a 230-seat dinner .

With an established reputation for its specialist talents, the agency is proud of its client base which includes some top names such as Alpexpo, Grenoble’s exhibition centre, the Schneider group and most of its branches, as well as Atonic which specialises in complementary nutrion. The agency offers a range of packages, the most popular being big illusion shows with orchestras and magicians who go from table to table, caricaturists, silhouette artists, inflatable party balloons and casino evenings.

We bring in professionals from all over France and sometimes from abroad too, confirms the owner of Tam Productions. We can get hold of up to five silhouette artists and a dozen or so caricaturists. Seminar business makes up almost half of our activity, with over 30 contracts a year. Most of them involve about 15 people up to a maximum of 200. In the winter months, Paris-based clients often use us for their meetings organised in ski resorts such as Courchevel, Alpe d’Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Chamrousse and Les Menuires .

The budget required for just a basic event, involving a magician and a caricaturist, is 550 € (ex VAT) and can reach several tens of thousands of euros for the very biggest projects involving several companies. For a casino evening, including gambling tables and equipment and the presence of trained croupiers, the price works out at a minimum of 1500 € (ex VAT). Following Tam Productions’ growing client base amongst national companies, the agency is planning to set up a Paris branch in 2010 in order to better meet the needs of its clientele.
