For your next board meeting, maybe you’d like to find a discreet venue tucked away out of sight of competitors’ eyes? If that’s the case, then look no further for a good recommendation: check out La Clusaz, where the Authentic Lodge Spa by SnචFlowers will open for business at Christmas.

Housed in an old 18th century mountain farmhouse which has been lovingly and beautifully restored by its owner, Sébastien Masson, the lodge offers the facilities of a luxury hotel together with a personalised service… plus the discretion of a private chalet.

The chalet sits just 100 m away from the ski slopes and is, for La Clusaz, a completely new concept, explains Cécile Bedard, who is the chalet manager. We have six bedrooms plus a two-bedroom suite, and we can accommodate groups of eight in single accommodation or 16 in doubles. The chalet also boasts a spa equipped with steam room, infusion shower with chromotherapy, jacuzzi, treatment room and massage room with views over the mountains plus the services of a beautician. It all comes under the SnචBioflowers brand, set up by the former artistic ski champion Raphaà«lle Monod .

As far as catering is concerned, the Authentic Lodge Spa offers a 25-cover restaurant-come-living area and central fireplace on the top floor and a kitchen that looks out over the sitting room. The restaurant’s gastronomic cuisine is created by local boy, Sébastien Pollet-Villard, using locally-grown, organic ingredients. This space, connected to external terraces that face due south, is where the work sessions can take place, adds Cécile Bedard. It is ideal for small groups but as we can also accommodate another ten or so participants in four luxury apartments just 1 km away, we can also handle larger groups if necessary .

It’s a venue worth finding out about for this winter or next summer – it will open year round and should have an outdoor swimming pool too from 2010. In high season, the prices for one night work out at 350 € per room plus 60 € per person for half-board (breakfast and lunch or dinner).

Other additional services offered by this new venue include the advance booking of ski equipment as well as advantageous terms negotiated with the ESF, mountain guides, Talloires and Grand-Bornand’s golf courses plus the events agency Takamaka.
