Whether in the winter or in the summer, the Chalet de la Pricaz located at the top of the Forclaz mountain pass is THE trendy venue for seminars. It boasts an organic menu and offers a range of sporting and recreational activities in a stunning setting that overlooks Lac d’Annecy. It’s a venue that comes highly recommended by events agency Takamaka.

There are some beautiful venues in locations that are equally as stunning – and the Chalet de la Pricaz, situated at an altitude of 1200 m at the top of the Forclaz mountain pass overlooking Lac d’Annecy, is one of those. It was built in 1906 and has been in the Favre-FĂ©lix family since 1960. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Vincent Favre-FĂ©lix is the current owner.

The chalet is made up of two rooms with capacity for approximately 30 and 60 people respectively plus a heated covered terrace that can take 80 people, explains the former pupil and close friend of Marc Veyrat. We can also erect a marquee on the terrace that surrounds the chalet, giving capacity for up to 300 people . All of which makes it the ideal venue for motivational meetings or even just for an evening out after a hotel-based work session down in Annecy. Takamaka, one of the largest event organisers in the RhĂ´ne-Alpes region, has already recognised the chalet’s many advantages and frequently recommends it to clients. The Takamaka agency also owns a 150-space teepee located not far from the chalet.

In addition, Vincent Favre-FĂ©lix can offer a variety of activities to supplement the seminar programme, ranging from cookery classes which will be launched this autumn, to visits of local Savoie vineyards in the company of sommelier guide, Bertrand Rabusseau, and guided tours to explore the Alpine fauna and flora… Other options include murder mystery parties set in and around the chalet, snow-shoe outings up to the Forclaz paragliding launch site, hot wine and musical entertainment round an open fire in the winter, or dinners that match dishes with wines using organic products.

Future plans include the development of activities based on sustainable tourism, in conjunction with Takamaka, and the opening of a 15-room hotel, spa with infinity pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which will be perfect for small meetings.

This is an address worth noting. It has already hosted 50 parliamentary representatives for a working breakfast in March 2008 and is renowned beyond the surrounding Savoie and Haute-Savoie area for its organic catering services. In fact the Chalet de la Pricaz was chosen as caterer for the recent Fête du Bleu du Vercors held in Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, in the Isère, on 25 and 26 July 2009. The event was sponsored by Marc Veyrat and we had a stand selling organic products with seating for 300 people , recalls Vincent Favre-Félix.
