In a resort such as Megève, which boasts several attractive hotels, L’Arboisie has made its own mark by locating itself (geographically speaking at least) above the majority of its competitors, situated half way between the village and the Mont d’Arbois. Opened in December 2007 and taken over a year later by the HMC group, the hotel is located opposite Le Jaillet with views over the resort. Built in chalet style, with a largely modern interior design, the hotel offers 62 suites and six rooms, a part gastronomic restaurant that can seat 70 people, a lounge bar and a spa with sauna, jacuzzi and steam room with plans for treatment rooms and gym area next winter.

All of which means that L’Arboisie offers everything necessary to attract international clients who frequent this Pays du Mont-Blanc resort and it’s also turning its attention to the seminar market, offering for the time being a 70 m² meeting room with capacity for 50 people which will be replaced at the end of the year by a larger room (100 m²) for groups of 80 people !

This is all because we want to build on our conference and incentive business, which already represents between 20 and 30% of our turnover, explains sales manager Jennifer Ripoll. We’re targeting the service sector as well as the industrial sector, whether for board meetings or upmarket seminars. Our business clientele is largely French, from Paris, Lyon and Grenoble, as well as Swiss and British .

The groups range from about 25 to 45 people who enjoy a range of fun and sporting activities during their stays. The hotel works with event agency Évolution 2, which offers several different packages including spa treatments, winter skiing, golf in the summer at Mont d’Arbois, sparkling casino nights, ice hikes, hot-air ballooning, light aircraft flights over Mont Blanc and evening meals in a mountain restaurant followed by torchlit descent by ski or sledge …

At L’Arboisie, a residential seminar package starts at 200 € per participant including accommodation, breakfast, room hire, two refreshment breaks and dinner. The hotel is open from mid-December to mid-April and from 1^st July to 31 August. However, it is looking to extend its summer season and in the meantime, can accept groups during the periods close to the start of the season and the end.
