Founded by Anne-Claire Chevalier and Fanny Lecaudey, who used to work for DDB Nouveau Monde, this Lyon-based agency, My Travel Angel, specialises in organising events and stays in the RhĂ´ne-Alpes. It mainly handles medium-sized events.
After a number of years spent working for Ontario, the former events arm of DDB Nouveau Monde, both Anne-Claire Chevalier and Fanny Lecaudey decided to set up on their own with My Travel Angel in October 2011. From the outset this Lyon-based agency announced its intentions, positioning itself as a specialist in organising events and stays in the RhĂ´ne-Alpes for medium-sized groups.
“We’re mainly targeting event organisers and companies,” says Anne-Claire Chevalier. “Our niche market is for the made-to-measure and upmarket event, ranging from board meetings, programmes for foreign delegations, accompanying press trips, looking after corporate guests, reservation of hotels, restaurants, shows, or meeting and greeting at railways stations and airports. We can also organise stays throughout the region, both for companies and for individuals”.
With their long experience, the two partners reveal high ambitions for their agency and have joined the CGPME in order to get themselves known. During the month of May they’ve been given the task of accompanying two Swiss groups of 20 and 30 people.
« It’s basically for a cultural trip,” explains Anne-Claire Chevalier. “The first one is spending four days in Lyon visiting a number of the city’s museums as well as the new Confluence district. The other group is going to Grenoble for the Die Brucke exhibition and then on to Lyon. We also do some sub-contracting work on behalf of Ontario and Co de Vincent Gaillemain, working witih Babolat, BASF Agro or Icade”.
The two colleagues are also targeting potential partners who share the same philosophy, such as the Collège Hôtel, L’Ermitage Hôtel, Château de Pizay or bed and breakfast establishments. “We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and we’re very demanding when it comes to choosing partners,” concludes Anne-Claire Chevalier. “We want to be able to take our clients to places that are a bit different. We place great importance on people skills, playing the role of facilitator which is just as important for individual clients as it is for our business clients. A few months ago we were asked to organise a stay in Lyon for a Taiwanese family. We organised a driver for them and planned a programme that included a pastry lesson, a wander round the Saint-Antoine market, a picnic at the Parc de la Tête d’Or and a show. Our aim is to enable our clients to make the most of some of the major events in Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes region… “
